Audio Processing

Make your radio station stand out by taking advantage of our world class tailored audio processing. Research shows that radio stations who use high end multi band audio processing that is correctly set up are more likely to hold listeners and for longer periods than a radio station with little, badly set up or no audio processing.

Our packages start with a single core which means that the same audio processing will be applied to both your public listening streams and your DAB broadcast output. The Silver & Bronze packages (recommended) offer dual cores which means that you can have two different processing instances. So for example, you can have a moderately processed audio stream for the public listening streams and a more aggressively processed audio stream for your DAB output broadcast to make you stand out from the competition.

Public Stream Hosting

Typically your listeners would find your stream, on your website, your mobile app and other streaming directories such as TuneIn. Your stream would need to be hosted and encoded to offer this service which is included in all of the packages. We take care of everything.

The amount of hosted slots and bit rate of your public streams differs per package.

We recommend a lower bit rate such as 128kbps for mobile apps so your listeners use less data on their mobile devices and ensure less drop outs when on the move.

Private HQ Dry Studio Stream

This is a dedicated audio stream that will link the unprocessed audio from your studio, to our services.

Private HQ Multiplex Stream

This is a private dedicated processed audio stream that we will encode and send to your MUX audio hosting provider such as Archiva in the highest quality possible. This is the final link of the audio chain that goes to the transmitter(s).

Silence Detection with Automated Pre-recorded Content Takeover

Should there be an interruption at your studio for any reason, whether it’s due to a power outage, internet outage, automation software problem or anything else then our Silence Detection System will automatically kick in and play pre recorded content that you would of already supplied to us. Once audio is resumed at the studio, it automatically switches back over.

Radio Show Auto Upload

With listening on demand services being increasing more and more popular in modern times. We will automatically upload every show onto platforms such as MixCloud onto your Radio Stations Account in order for your listeners to listen back to their favorite or missed shows.

45 day back log recording for your countries broadcasting authority regulations

In order to broadcast in the UK, Ofcom’s terms require your output to be stored for a minimum of 45 days, should they need to review your past output for any reason. You could risk being fined or loosing your broadcast license should you fail to provide recordings when requested. We can tailor this service depending on the terms set out by the broadcasting authority of your country.

Full server backup with instant mirrored fallback

We use the best UK based server centers available with a claimed 99% uptime but sometimes even the best can have outages that our beyond our control and sometimes in very rare instances it has been known for devastating instances to occur such as server center’s being demolished due to fire or flood. For piece of mind of not having your output interrupted, we will host and mirror your content on two different servers at two different locations.
